The Sacred Heart Legion was
launched during the octave of the Feast of the Sacred Heart in
June 2007 at the National Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Harleigh, (PA), by the international Lay Apologist and EWTN
Host, Mr. Raymond de Souza. Mr. De Souza is a parishioner of St.
Michael’s in Scranton (PA), a parish staffed by priests of the
Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter.
On that occasion, he delivered a
special inaugural address on the 12 Promises of the Sacred
Heart, which was followed by a regular monthly talk on the
Promises, taken one at a time.
He analyzed each Promise in the
light of contemporary crisis in both Church and State, making
the devotion to the Sacred Heart more relevant than ever to
American Catholics.
